TheNestXtage - Sunday 21st August 18.00

TheNestXtage is a one night showcase of emergent contemporary art, incorporating durational performances, interactive/kinetic installations and live music.

The aim of the show is to provide a platform where performative / live art can be enjoyed in a context that is equal part gallery exhibition and entertainment event. The organisation of the show is anchored on four medium scale installations dispersed throughout the atmospheric event space of The Back Loft. With eight durational performances, overlapping throughout the evening, a constantly changing and evolving visual and aural experience is to be topped off by a number of experimental musical acts. The whole promises to be something well worth seeing. I promise.

Marc O'Connor

Marc O'Connor's work, whether realised as film, sculpture/installation, photography or live art can always be seen as having it's roots, not only in drawing but in the most primal origins of mark making.

For TheNestXtage, Marc will create the latest in a developing body of variously collaborative / solo performantive drawings.

the Icarus Crane

Icarus Crane returns to the Back Loft for TheNestXtage, with the aim of casting doubt on reports of his demise and to perform a new piece of electronically processed spoken word, born out of a growing frustration with the empty shell that is political discourse in the developed world.

Rory Grubb

Rory Grubb's unique sound stretches from assured folk/pop melodies into experiments and improvisations with looped sounds generated from an array of objects, including his signature bicycle wheel. Have a listen to some of Grubb's recordings at the link below but expect the unexpected from his live set.
