Mairead Hutchinson's work in performance, moving image and sculpture has, of late, focused on childhood experience, often through the recreation of games and activities associated with a care free youth. From this starting point, Hutchinson's work often takes a turn for the dark, owing to the duration and repetitive quality of the works.
For TheNestXtage, Hutchinson will perform a durational piece "Draw", which stems from a body of work due to be exhibited at The Market Studios, October 6th, as part of Playing With Ourselves exhibition with Seamus Bradley.
